Return to the car park, from which you can commence the Passchendaele battlefield tour by turning left at the entrance and going to the top of the hill just past the hedge. Otherwise head right and, after 200 metres, left onto Tynecotstraat, which goes over Australia Walk, the bed of the old railway, at Dash Crossing 180 metres further on. From the crossing, look along the road. The Blue Line for the 11th Brigade ran diagonally from II Anzac’s boundary with I ANZAC, 500 metres to your right front beyond the houses, through your location to the cemetery. If driving, continue on Tynecotstraat to the N303 and turn right for the Broodseinde crossroads, at which you should turn right again onto the N332 for Zonnebeke and Ypres. If walking, head right on Australian Walk, information panels along which describe the action and, no less interesting, the archaeological work underway at the remains of Thames and other pillboxes.
